Ipsy Glam Bag: August 2014 review

Hey guys!
I know, I am EXTREMELY late on this one. Better late than never, HUH?!?! I was not going to post this review but, after the amazing July bag, this bag was getting so many bad reviews so I thought I'd share my bag.

If you do not know about ipsy, get with the program! Hehe, just kidding. Seriously, you are missing out! It is a customized, beauty subscription service. For $10 a month, you receive five items that range from sample to full sized makeup, hair and beauty products inside of a cute makeup bag. These are the products picked specifically for me.

Absolute Lip Balm Weight 12g
This lip blame comes in a duo: Green apple/Grape or strawberry/bubble gum and the cost is only $5.99
It is very hydrating and it smells good.

Forever Blush Sample Duo by Coastal Scents

Weight: 2.5g/ 0.09 oz

This blush is a long lasting, pigmented blush that comes in 18 shades (Fresh on left/Elegant on Right).  

The colors are perfect for my complexion and the sample holds a pretty good amount of product. I've heard complaints about the sample size but, no complaints here =)

OH and The full size blushes are on sale right now for $3.98 from $7.95!!!

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

.1 Fl. Oz

It's a lengthening and Volumizing mascara 

that does just that.

The cost for the full size 12ml/0.4 fl. Oz is $22. 

You get a free deluxe sample of Subversion Primer with purchase.

Lord & Berry  Silk Kajal Kohl Eye Pencil

Weight: .02 Oz

This Eye liner is awesome. It smudges great and stays on long.

Full size costs about $18-$22.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner

Weight: .25 Oz

This Primer is great. 

It mattifies while reducing pore size.

Full size 1 Fl. Oz/30 ml costs $45

It is definitely worth the price.

Overall I give this bag an 8.

I know some people were upset about the size of the products but for $10 a month, I'm very happy with getting to try different products I wouldn't normally purchase.

StyloPhora Ice Ball Molds Product Review #sphereicemold

The StyloPhora Ice ball molds are fun and super easy to make. It comes in a pack of three and includes a collapsible funnel. 

They are easy to fill and have a fill line so you won't overfill. All you do is rinse, close the two parts together, fill and freeze.

I find them to be cool. We had a competition (because we play with everything). We made a guess on how long it would take to freeze, took the sphere outside (at time that was guessed) and held it over the head of the guesser. We opened the sphere over their head and if it wasn't frozen, they got a nice little surprise =D 

BUUUTTT!! I did use them for drinks and, the only con is that the ice spheres did not fit into most of our cups. 

The ice spheres are designed to keep your drinks cooler, longer. I had an Almond Milk, Banana and Strawberry smoothie (in the only glass cup in this house that the spheres fit into) and it was pretty cool. The ice did not melt as fast as other ice cubes. I also liked the look of the whole thing. It made me actually feel like I was having a grown up drink.

Product Review: Grazia Silicone Muffin Pan 24 cup

Bakers rejoice!

I've been on this healthy, making everything from scratch, kick lately. I've also been looking for bakeware that requires the least amount of maintenance and something that helps with portion control. 

I think I've found it!

 This pan is amazing! I love working with silicone bakeware but had yet to find a muffin pan that didn't require much prep and clean up. A Baker's (or at least I try) Prayers answered!

EL SECRETO DE LA FELICIDAD - childrens EBOOK review SPANISH EDITION

Being a teacher, I am always looking for new books to read to my students. So when I came across the opportunity to review El Secreto De La Felicidad (The secret to happiness), By Suzy Leibermann, I jumped on it. (The version I reviewed is in Spanish but there is an English version).

The story stars a cute little starfish named Hugo. One day, Hugo is feeling sad and decides to try and find happiness. He encounters a sting ray that gives him suggestions but they do not work for Hugo.

Riches only gave Hugo momentary happiness...

As he continues to search, he finds that sharing his heart with others is the only way to true happiness. 

I recommend this book, not only because of it's colorful, beautifully drawn pictures, but because the message in the book is an amazing one.

Up and down App review

Up and down is a number game that test reflexes, while helping with learning numbers.

If you like numbers or number games, than this is the game for you.

You can choose to play the classic game where you tap the number according to the arrow (down arrow for descending order and up arrow for ascending). Each round last 60 seconds.

Or you can choose to play the time bomb, where rounds last 60 seconds as well, and this is where things get super interesting. You basically follow the same rules as the classic game but there is one twist. As you tap the number, it changes to a different number so you have to pay close attention!

It is a very fun and educational app. It's great for children. I let my nieces and nephew try it and they loved the app, especially the time bomb. They said it definitely didn't feel "educational" lol.

I recommend this app to all who love numbers and especially if you love a challenge.
